Hey all- I’m working on an article about how to cut a great web series trailer- if you’d like me to use yours as an example, embed it below!
All our trailers are at the bottom section of this page
Mine’s here: https://vimeo.com/290179907
Thanks! I really liked seeing/hearing you talk about your show in the promo with your trailers - nice to put a voice to the avatar!
Ah yes, the fake “interview” that I shot in my bedroom
You’re very convincing!
we have 3 trailers! i cut all of them, but i cut the first two in 2 hours because someone else was supposed to do it and then they didn’t, so i had to delay going out on a friday night to cut two trailers i don’t love them, but they were the best i could do.

the third one i cut with the advice of some of my mentors at USC during what was effectively a branding workshop, and i like it much much better and it has been more effective for us:
That content was originally done for a festival that asked for a series overview. As someone who’s typically not in front of the camera, I took a lot of takes to piece that together.
After the festival was over, I figured it was generic enough to use for the show. I probably wouldn’t have done something like that otherwise.
Here’s my trailer for “Shootin’ The Sh*t”!
Here’s Rebecca Gold’s 30-second trailer - Enjoy!
Here are ours for Golden Rule and Knock Knock.

Thanks so much for these great responses! Follow up question- how did you decide what to end your trailers on? What was your strategy for that final beat/cliffhanger?
